SMART’WICH is the culmination of a life lived between three of the world’s most iconic waterfronts. Born in Napoli, raised in the fast-paced energy of New York, and having honed his craft while living in Lisbon, Chef Guerrieri has returned to New York to bridge these three worlds. This "Med-Atlantic Trifecta" is served on our signature handmade Portuguese bread, acting as the vessel for a journey of flavors and heritage.
We are the home of the original Octopus SmartWich and our signature House-Pickled Sardines—sourced directly from Portugal, meticulously deboned, and prepared entirely in-house. Our philosophy is built on ingredient transparency and functional flavor. We’ve moved away from heavy, processed condiments, substituting traditional mayo with probiotic yogurt and building our signature sauces on a foundation of olive oil.
The Chef has managed to take high-level Mediterranean artistry and turn it into a memorable moment with every bite. Between the Blossom'Wich and those hand-deboned Portuguese sardines, Chef Guerrieri isn't just making sandwiches; he’s creating a new category of "Atlantic Soul Food."
